 This snd_amd5536.ko is a FreeBSD 7.0 (and now 8/9/10) audio driver for AMD's CS5536 companion chip.

    • This driver was designed for PC Engine's ALIX-1C/1D low power motherboard,
    running an AMD Geode LX cpu and a AMD cs5536 companion chip.



    New. Given to me for FreeBSD 8.X (but would not load on FreeBSD 8.2 for me).
    In addition, I had trouble getting FreeBSD 8.2 to run correctly
    on the Alix-1D (I had to install on different computer,
    devd would not run, neither would the editor ee).
    However, FreeBSD 8.x has been reported to me to have run OK
    on the Alix-1E, along with devd and ee running OK.
    So here it is, try it and perhaps get back to me:

    • For FreeBSD 9.1, this driver has been reported to have been compiled
    and runs OK. Here is the binary:
